Resignation of Dr. David Greig as medical superintendent, ostensibly because of a new regulation requiring the medical superintendent to be resident at the Institution. This, and Dr Greig’s resignation may well have been prompted by a highly critical private report on the state of the Institution by the General Board of Control.
